Misozi Hope Masengu is the visionary founder and Managing Partner of the firm.
She brings over 13 years of experience in legal practice, with a distinct expertise in both commercial litigation and commercial transactions. She has successfully represented clients in prominent cases involving employment and labour disputes, the dissolution of Islamic marriages, and creditors’ schemes of arrangement. Misozi is also highly regarded as a trusted advisor to multinational corporations in employment law and is ranked by Global Law Experts as a leading expert in commercial litigation.
In transactional work, she has advised leading commodity trading companies on acquisitions in the wholesale and FMCG industries, as well as on acquisition financing in the banking sector. She has also advised private companies and high-net-worth individuals on the establishment and operation of trusts.
Misozi is a Beit Scholar, holding a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Trade and Commercial Law from the University of Durham and an LLB from the University of Zambia. She serves as a non-executive director on various boards and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (MCIArb), Zambia branch, and the International Trademarks Association (INTA). She has also published extensively on employment and labour law.
